Having been nominated by two leading OEMs, Degould was the proud recipient of the Product Innovation Award at the 2018 Automotive Global Awards, on 1st November 2018.

Executives from across the automotive industry gathered at The Savoy in Central London where awards finalists mingled with colleagues old and new to discuss the challenges and achievements with a renewed passion for excellence.

The Automotive Global Awards are centred on a desire to acknowledge, celebrate and commend innovation and service excellence across the automotive industry. By taking the time to recognise achievements and encourage the development of future engineers, drivers, technicians and logisticians we can truly appreciate what it takes to keep the supply chain moving.

The amazing backdrop for the event highlighted the outstanding work achieved by all of the finalists for 2018 and was a truly special way to commend those who have made a difference and deserve the recognition of being the best performer in the global supply chain.

Degould faced tough competition from fellow finalists Convertible Concepts Corporation and G&P Group Holdings.

Degould’s Auto-Booth, incorporating auto-imaging technology, provides digital evidence of a vehicle’s condition at every stage of its production and transportation, eliminating disputes over damage liability. Auto-Booth uses first-class controlled lighting and studio quality scans to achieve the sharpest images available with a takt time of just a few seconds. Auto-Booth is fully operational in many manufacturing plants, ports, compounds and PDI centres, covering the end-to-end finished vehicle logistics supply chain.

The judges felt that Degould’s Auto-Booth development, combined with the Vector Mapping App, represents a significant innovation in the automotive industry with a truly international reach.

The award was collected by Ed Jones, Managing Director, he added, “We’re really proud to receive this award, and its great recognition for the whole team at Degould and the tireless work they have put in over the last few years to make this product what it is today. It’s an exciting time for us, with new OEMs coming on board across the globe and new product launches planned as our technology advances. Degould was one of 21 companies and individuals rewarded for having achieved the unachievable or for having pioneered a new way of thinking or working.
