Senior NPD & Launch Project Manager
DeGould is seeking an experienced New Product Development (NPD) & Launch Project Manager to lead the delivery of its next-generation automated inspection platforms from early concept through industrialisation, pilot deployment and commercial launch. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of product management, software delivery and systems engineering, and is critical to ensuring that customer requirements are translated into scalable, high-quality software-led products. It requires a highly organised and proactive individual with exceptional communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for understanding complex systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive project success and ensure smooth, efficient operations across all stages of delivery. Please note this role is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities
End to End Product Delivery
- Own delivery of our next-generation product, coordinating hardware, machine learning, application software, platform and systems teams from early requirements definition through pilot deployment and product launch
- Lead cross-functional project execution and ensure strong alignment between product requirements, software architecture, operations, customer-facing teams
- Establish and manage delivery plans, milestones and dependencies aligned to business priorities
Requirements & Discovery Management
- Work closely with Product Management to support customer discovery and problem definition, particularly in new verticals
- Translate discovery insights into clear, prioritised software and system requirements
- Enforce scope control and change management to protect delivery timelines
Launch Readiness & Industrialisation
- Define and manage product launch readiness, with emphasis on software quality, reliability, usability and maintainability
- Coordinate pilot deployments and ensure software and hardware platforms are robust, supportable and scalable
- Work with Operations and Customer teams to ensure smooth transition from development to live environments
Executive Governance
- Establish and run delivery governance, including stage-gates, sprint reviews and release readiness reviews
- Track progress, risks and dependencies across teams, escalating where required
- Support senior leadership and board-level reviews with clear, evidence-based reporting
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a central coordination point between Product, Software, ML, Systems, Operations and Commercial teams
- Ensure clear communication of priorities, trade-offs and delivery status across the organisation
- Support customer-facing reviews during pilots and early deployments
Skills
Essential
- Strong experience delivering software-led products to market, ideally in complex or regulated environments
- Proven background in product development, software delivery and launch, not just internal project execution
- Experience working with product managers, software engineers and ML teams
- Ability to operate effectively where requirements are evolving and discovery-led
- Excellent planning, communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
- Experience in platform or SaaS-style product delivery
- Exposure to machine learning or data-driven products
- Experience integrating software platforms with hardware or physical systems
- Familiarity with Agile, hybrid Agile/Waterfall, or stage-gate delivery models
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
