Role Overview:
Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager position requires a proactive individual with a strong background in financial management, planning, and analysis. The successful candidate will join a small but capable Finance team delivering end to end financial management, as well as providing insightful analysis to support key decision-making processes. This role offers a dynamic mix of routine duties and exciting ad-hoc projects, perfect for those who thrive on variety and pursuing continuous improvement in an exciting and dynamic environment.

The company develops and delivers innovative vision and damage detection systems to a range of blue-chip corporate clients. As the company embarks on an exciting growth phase the company plans to expand the team, further develop existing products, and explore opportunities for new ones. 

Our Vision:
DeGould’s vision is to be the standard for new vehicle inspection in the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business partnering across departmental stakeholders. Working with the CFO to develop KPIs and supporting analysis to provide further insight to leadership team to support strategic decision making and drive efficiency
  • Financial planning and analysis, including the preparation and maintenance of forecasts and budgets and progress analysis
  • Collaborate in the production of detailed management accounts with supporting commentary and analysis
  • Risk management, identifying and mitigating financial risk and ensuring robust controls and systems are in in place to protect the Company. Proactive in looking for ways to create and improve internal processes and controls where necessary
  • Stakeholder management, from auditors, tax advisors and lawyers, to investors and any regulatory bodies
  • Capital management, overseeing liquidity and working capital requirements
  • Oversight of compliance responsibilities, from VAT and payroll to statutory accounts and R&D
  • Ensure accuracy of data entry to the accounting system and completeness of journalled transactions
  • Support the CFO with other ad-hoc project work

Skills:

  • Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience in management reporting, FP&A, and Business Partnering.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, and a track record of developing actionable and insightful financial reports/information.
  • Proven experience of preparing and presenting finalised Management Accounts.
  • Expertise in engaging with senior stakeholders, blending commercial acumen with operational insights to influence key decisions.
  • Experience with contract and cost analysis for major projects is highly desirable.
  • Professionalism and strong work ethic.
  • IT skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office and financial systems.
  • A clear and concise communicator with strong analytical skill
