Associate .NET Engineer

Hours: Full time
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Location: Exeter or Bristol, minimum of 3 days in the office.

Role Overview:

DeGould is looking for 2 x Associate .NET Engineers. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of DeGould’s platform within AWS and GCP, and help to design and develop new products. DeGould is an exciting, multi-award-winning company, in the software and AI sector. The company develops and delivers innovative vision and damage detection systems to a range of blue-chip corporate clients (including Toyota, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, Honda and Bentley). As the company embarks on an exciting growth phase the company plans to expand the team, further develop existing products, and explore opportunities for new ones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, test, and deploy .NET applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute ideas to improve overall code quality.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects or issues.
• Assist in maintaining and improving existing software applications.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and continuously enhance your technical skills.

Skills:

Essential:

• Basic understanding of .NET Framework/Core and C#.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with databases, such as SQL Server or other relational databases.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

Desirable:

• Exposure to version control systems, e.g., Git.
• Experience with ASP.NET, MVC or WebAPI frameworks.
• Experience of a modern frontend framework (ideally ReactJs)
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
